“Vintage” A SBAA Pop-up exhibition at Starke Naked Vintage
We invite artists of all backgrounds and mediums to participate in a special SBAA pop-up exhibition at
Starke Naked Vintage from April 2 nd to May 4 th 2026. Founded in NY, 2023, is a curated collection of
luxury vintage articles. Lydia Starke, the owner, sought to marry her love of fashion with her love of the
natural world and hopes to encourage people to purchase pre-loved items in an effort to lessen our
footprint on this earth.
Reception from 6-8 pm April 3, 2026. A commission of 25% of all sales will be collected by Starke Naked Vintage as the acting Gallery for this exhibition. Please price your work with this in mind.
All works must be for sale and clearly labeled with your name, email, and the price of your piece.
The theme of this exhibition is “Vintage” as a celebration of both the venue we are showing in, as well as
SBAA is celebrating 70 years of art!
Applications are open to all SBAA members in good standing. If you are not an SBAA Member, become one on our membership page.

Submission Criteria:
2D work of all mediums and 3D pottery/ceramics/sculpture is accepted for submission. AI-generated work is not permitted.
Work must be original
Each artist can submit up to 2 works, and 1 or both will be considered for inclusion.
Artists must clearly price/label each piece of work prior to dropping work off. If no price/artist name is on the work, it will not be accepted/shown.
No minimum size, a maximum size for any given piece of artwork is 60” H x 60” W. There are some lovely large walls available, so larger works can be accommodated. For 3D works, the store does have some pedestals we may use, but if your work requires a specific type of setup, you must bring your own. All pedestals should be matte white unless integral to the artwork being shown.
SBAA is not liable for any damage that may occur. Our Exhibition Committee will do its best to ensure the safety of all pieces submitted.
Sales will initially be handled by Starke Naked Vintage, with funds transferred to SBAA and then redistributed to artists, with a 25% commission taken out at the point of purchase within the store.
75% of payments will be issued to artists within 30 days after the close of the exhibition. If your artwork sells during the run of the show, you will be contacted and asked if you’d like to replace the piece with a new one for the run of the show.

Starke Naked Vintage is not able to receive mailed or shipped artwork - please make arrangements to hand deliver your artwork to the location at the designated time. If you want to participate but cannot make the drop-off or pick-up, please coordinate with another member to bring or retrieve your artwork. Because we are all volunteers, we cannot provide alternate arrangements and will not be responsible for the storage of artwork. Anyone who drops off or picks up artwork outside the designated times provided will NOT be permitted to exhibit with SBAA.

Sales are handled through the South Bay Art Association, with commissions divided as follows: 25% to Starke Naked and 75% to the artist. Commission payments will be issued within 30-60 days after the close of the exhibition.
