Calls For Art

Ordinary Magic: A Photography Exhibition
Calling all South Bay Art Association photographers! Join us for this exciting photography exhibition
celebrating the beauty hidden in everyday life. This exhibition focuses on small, often overlooked moments - light through a window, quiet gestures, familiar streets, and fleeting expressions. Through careful observation and timing, the photographs reveal how the ordinary can become extraordinary when truly seen. Rather than grand events, the work highlights intimacy, simplicity, and the subtle magic that exists in routine moments, inviting viewers to slow down and find wonder in the world around them.
All photographic processes are welcome including digital, film, cyanotype, pinhole, drone, alternative process. AI generated work is not permitted.
This exhibition will be held at Brewport Coffee House in Bellport. Due to the nature of our shared public satellite gallery spaces, all artwork is subject to final approval by the Exhibitions Committee to ensure an appropriate fit for the venue.

🎓 20% is donated to the Nita Elder Scholarship Fund, which awards three $1,000 scholarships annually to Suffolk County high school seniors pursuing visual arts in college
💳 5% covers processing fees

The Language of Color
The Language of Color explores how color communicates beyond words. Through bold contrasts, subtle tones, and expressive palettes, the artworks in this exhibition use color as a universal language - one that conveys emotion, memory, culture and identity. Colors speak directly to our inner emotional landscapes, often below the level of conscious awareness. This exhibit highlights both figurative and abstract works.
This exhibition will be held in the art gallery at the Center Moriches Free Public Library in Center Moriches. Due to the nature of our shared public satellite gallery spaces, all artwork is subject to final approval by the Exhibitions Committee to ensure an appropriate fit for the venue.
