Big Works: an SBAA Members' Exhibition at BAFFA
Call for Art: Big Works
The highly anticipated Big Works exhibition is back for its 3rd year at the BAFFA Art Gallery! Join the South Bay Art Association in Sayville to celebrate the bold, large-scale works created by our incredibly talented members.
This is an opportunity to show your larger work in an art gallery setting! As the theme is Big Works,
we will only accept pieces over 20” x 20”. Space is limited, so please consider entering your completed work soon to guarantee your spot before we reach our maximum capacity.

Open to all SBAA members in good standing.
If you are not an SBAA Member, become one HERE
Membership to BAFFA is NOT required to exhibit in Big Works. Please note that BAFFA's commission is 25% for non-members. 20% for BAFFA members. If artwork is sold, the commission rate is 25% commission to BAFFA instead of 20% commission to BAFFA if you are a member. Artists can join BAFFA before the exhibit starts to receive the commission deduction.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL INFO@SOUTHBAYART.ORG
2D & 3D Submission Criteria:
Open to all mediums
Minimum size: 20” x 20” for 2D and 20” minimum in one direction for 3D
Work must be original, no prints, no AI
All work must be wired using D-rings
Only one (1) piece may be submitted, per artist
Exhibiting artists are required to gallery sit for a minimum of 2 hours. We appreciate the time you contribute to this exhibit, as we can only open the gallery for viewing if we have volunteers. You are welcome to use this time to host a mini-reception or meet-and-greet (alcohol is not permitted). The BAFFA Art Gallery will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 pm provided we have enough SBAA volunteers to gallery sit.
All exhibiting artists will need to complete an Artist Release form for BAFFA digitally, prior to dropoff. An Artist Release Form will be emailed to artists upon acceptance confirmation. We recommend artists carry their own insurance as South Bay Art Association and BAFFA will not insure or be responsible for missing or damaged artwork. If work is sold, BAFFA will pay out commission to the artist. SBAA receives no commission on any sales by its members.

If you want to participate but cannot make the drop-off or pick-up, please coordinate with another member to bring or retrieve your artwork. Because we are all volunteers, we cannot provide alternate arrangements and will not be responsible for the storage of artwork. Anyone who drops off or picks up artwork outside the designated times provided will NOT be permitted to exhibit with SBAA.
All artwork must be appropriately wired before drop-off. If the artwork is not wired, it will be rejected by the South Bay Art Association (SBAA) volunteers and will not be included in the exhibition. Please be advised that South Bay volunteers will not possess any hardware and are not authorized to manipulate another artist's work, even with the artist's consent. Remember to label the back of your artwork.
