6th Annual Plein Air

It's plein air season! South Bay Art Association is happy to have its 6th Annual Plein Air event which will begin on July 11th! Please see the information below, and register to hold your spot. We will only allow 40 participants this year due to display restraints at Bellport Day.
Artwork Requirements: Any painting medium is accepted. All work must be able to hang. Minimum size of 8" x 10", Maximum size framed is 20" on either side. No framing is required if the artist is using gallery-wrapped canvas.
Only paintings, drawings and mixed media will be accepted. SORRY, NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR SCULPTURE.
All work must be D-Ring and wired, NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS will be accepted at drop-off. Please know SBAA will NOT have wiring material available at drop-off. Stickers that will be provided must also be attached to the back of your work.
Work must also be dry before drop-off. SBAA does not have its own location, our volunteers will be holding your work privately before Bellport Day. They must be able to transport artwork safely. Wet canvas will not be accepted at drop-off.

Registration: $15 per person.
You must come to the South Country Library Vestibule on July 11 to pay and pick up your goodie bag with registration sticker.
Only 1 piece will be accepted.
Please bring cash or check to registration.
Exact change is appreciated.
Days to Paint: July 11 — July 23
(Note: The updated list of specific areas and suggestions will be provided directly in your participant goodie bags!)
Art Drop-off: Thursday, July 23
Time: 5:30 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.

Bellport Day Exhibition:
All work will be on display at Bellport Day, Saturday, July 25 from 11 a.m. — 4 p.m.
Judges will be at the booth from 10 a.m. — 11:30 a.m.
Awards to be given at noon. Awards generously donated by: Blick Art Materials
Artwork Pick Up: July 25th 3:30 p.m. — 4 p.m.
If your artwork sells, we will do our best to contact you before pick up.
Please note that South Country Road opens up at 4 p.m. sharp. If artists do not pick up work by 4 p.m., it becomes the property of SBAA.
All sales will be through SBAA. A 10% Commission fee will be subtracted from your sale. This will cover the credit card processing fees that SBAA incurs. SBAA will be filing sales tax, so that will not be the responsibility of the artist. Art sales will be processed with SBAA after the event, and checks will be sent to the artists' within 30 days if sales occur.
