Artist Bio
Nicole Esposito is an avid landscape and travel photographer. Growing up so close to the water fostered a love of the ocean and beaches and it’s no surprise that much of her work is focused around our shorelines, coasts and waters. She focuses on water most often, capturing the way it uniquely plays with light, changes color and reflects the surrounding world back at itself. A self taught photographer, Nicole spends a lot of her time photographing, learning new stuff everyday and travelling.
Artist Statement
Although my professional photography journey began about 10 years ago, it’s been a life long passion of mine. I’ve had a camera in my hand for most of my life and photographing my own children helped launch a short lived portrait career. I moved on over to photographing landscapes and coastal scenes during COVID and I’ve never looked back.
I am a member of many local art groups and associations all over the Long Island. My work has been shown in more than 25 exhibits. I sit on the board of SBAA as Treasurer and serve as Secretary for the West Islip Chamber of Commerce. An active member of Photo Art Pavilion, I exhibit in their in-person and online shows and recently served as juror for their exhibit, Double Take, at the Southampton Cultural Center. Along with this amazing opportunity came a solo show in that location as well.
I have published interviews with online publications Canvas Rebel and soon to be published Bold Journey. And last month I was a guest on Photo Art Pavilion’s, Art and Soul: Pavilion Perspectives, a half hour online interview that can be found on Youtube and social media.
