Call for Art:   BELLPORT HOLIDAY STROLL-  An SBAA Pop-Up Member Showcase and fundraising event benefiting the Nita Elder Student Scholarship Fund

 

Calling all South Bay Art Association Artists!! 

​

This holiday season, we invite artists of all backgrounds and mediums to participate in a special SBAA holiday pop-up event at the annual Bellport Holiday Stroll on December 13, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in front of Brewport Coffee House.

 

20% of all proceeds will benefit the Nita Elder Student Scholarship Fund. What better gift to give than the gift of art! Space is very limited, and all participants must be available to volunteer their time for the evening. We will have print racks for all of your matted works (work cannot be in frames), a folding table, and shelves for members to display artisanal handmade gifts, ornaments, small artworks, and note cards.

All works must be for sale and clearly labeled with your name, email, and the price of your piece. Matted works must be in plastic. This is an outdoor event and is weather-permitted. There is NO rain date for this event.

There is no set theme for this event— we welcome your unique voice and vision. Whether your work reflects the season or simply shares your personal artistic expression, this show is an opportunity to showcase art as the most meaningful gift of all.

Submission Criteria:
 

• 2D work and small pottery/ceramics/sculpture is accepted for submission. AI-generated work is not permitted.

• Work must be original 

• Up to 10 matted works will be accepted, small giftable items must be able to be displayed on 6 foot table top or display racks provided by SBAA. SBAA will NOT be using ANY hanging GRID systems at this event. NO work will be HUNG to showcase. 

• Artists must clearly price/label each piece of work prior to dropping work off. If no price/artist name is on work, it will not be accepted/shown. 

• No minimum size / Maximum matted size: 16” x 20". 

  • Small framed works will be accepted that can stand on their own - please inquire if you want to submit a piece that does not meet these requirements

• SBAA is not liable for any damage that may occur at the Holiday Stroll. Our Exhibition Committee will do its best to ensure the safety of all submitted pieces.

• Sales are handled through the South Bay Art Association, with commissions divided as follows: 20% to the Nita Elder Student Scholarship Fund, 5% to SBAA, and 75% to the artist. Commission payments will be issued within 30 days of the exhibition's close.

Deadline to apply: Monday, December 8, 2025

Set Up: Saturday, 4:30 pm at Brewport Coffee House, 129 S Country Rd, Bellport, NY- all volunteers assist with set up. We will need volunteers to transport some supplies from the storage unit in Medford. SUV or truck required

 

The event ends at 7:30 p.m., and volunteers will break down the area and transport supplies back to the storage unit.  ​

• This is a one-night-only pop-up event, so get ready for a very fun evening in Bellport Village. SPACE IS LIMITED.

 

We are setting up a small area outside Brewport Coffee House for SBAA artists to share their talents with the Bellport community by offering unique, one-of-a-kind artistic gifts.
