About the event

Join us for an inspiring evening with fiber artist Mary Herold in her workshop titled “Time and Again: Repurposing Textiles to Tell Their Story.”

A strong believer in the benefits of orphan textiles, unstructured sewing, and the absence of "rules," Mary will show the simplicity and solace of slow stitching, using fabric, batting, various threads, buttons, and beads, all while using one simple straight stitch.

All participants will start with the same supplies in their kits. However, the design and the result will be as varied as the stitcher/creator themselves. And in her true "no rules" style, Mary will break down the process and barriers, making the technique more achievable for all attendees, no matter their experience level, so that they can complete a "story" with repurposed fabric and trim.
