"Abstracted - Colors of Pride"

Call for Art: A colorful abstract art exhibition honoring Pride.

2D and 3D work is accepted for submission. Photography is accepted to submit, however, any heavily doctored or AI photography or digital art will not be accepted.

Only one piece may be submitted, per artist.

2D Submission Criteria:

Minimum size:16" x 20" / Maximum size: 36" Width.
- Provide outside dimensions of framed artwork.
Black frames are preferred.
All work must be D-ringed, and wired (no sawtooth or eye hooks please)
Work will be installed with Command Strips/Command Strip Hooks. If work is framed, acrylic plexiglass is recommended by SBAA.
SBAA is not liable for any damage that may occur to frames from Command Strips. Our Exhibition Committee will do our best to ensure the safety of all pieces submitted.

3D submission Criteria: Spaces are limited, due to placement options.

Maximum Size: 18"H x 12"W x 8"D
If you are submitting a ceramic piece, please have an acrylic case to showcase your work.
- SBAA wants to ensure your work is safe and not mistaken for a piece, not for sale.

Where: Tranquility Within Healing Center - 64 W Main St, Patchogue, NY 11772

When: April - June 2024

Deadline to apply: Friday, April 5th 2024

Drop off: Sunday, April 21st at 3:00 pm at Tranquility Within

Tranquility Within is not able to receive mailed or shipped artwork - please make arrangements to hand deliver your artwork to the location at the designated time. If you want to participate but cannot make the drop-off or pick-up, please coordinate with another member to bring or retrieve your artwork. Because we are all volunteers, we cannot provide alternate arrangements and will not be responsible for the storage of artwork. Anyone who drops off or picks up artwork outside the designated times provided will NOT be permitted to exhibit with SBAA.

Reception Date: Monday, May 6th between 5:00-7:00 pm

Pick up: Sunday, June 30th at 3:00 pm

NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

I accept terms & conditions of this registration. I hereby consent that my artwork be displayed by South Bay Art Association, Tranquility Within, and any members/representatives thereof to promote myself and the exhibit. Any sale of artwork is subject to 10% donation to South Bay Art Association.

By checking this box, if accepted, I agree to drop off and pick up my artwork on the dates & times provided by South Bay Art Association. If I am unable to make the dates, it is my responsibility (the artist) to arrange someone else to deliver or retrieve my work. If Artist picks up work prior to the end of the exhibit, without notifying SBAA, they will be denied registration into future shows.
